It's a shame because that Skyforge Steel is nearly as good as ebony but much lighter. The swords can be improved upon making them viable for a very, very long time (I haven't tested the axes or blunt weapons yet), but the dagger can't be refined at all. One interesting thing to note, that I do believe to be a bug, is that you can improve all of the Skyforge Steel weapons except for the dagger. Again Barbas comes with you but this time in actual dog form. This time around the Daedric quest for Vile is another weapon fetch quest, although this time it is to get the Rueful Axe. Though it's not the best in terms of armor it's beyond useful in getting good prices and making tough speech checks. The Prince of wishes and deals returns for the fifth installment of The Elder Scrolls. I wish it could be, it looks ebony to me so you'd think it'd be upgradable. The Masque of Clavicus Vile can't be upgraded. I'm a purely light armored character (at least so far), and still carry around the Spellbreaker because it's so useful when fighting powerful mages. With the dwarven smithing perk you can upgrade it to its max (50 defense if i recall).
